The mod puts you in the shoes of Redgon Hash, a young adventurer, who visits a haunted house in hopes of finding its hidden treasure. Will he succeed? Or will the mystery remain unsolved?

ABOUT THE LEVEL-UP SYSTEM:

In Haunted House Story, you can level up your character by earning enough experience points. You can earn experience points by killing enemies. Levelling up boosts your HP, attack and defence stats and improves certain attributes depending on the weapon, be it range, projectile speed or bullet lifetime.

The XP needed for level up starts at 50 at level 1 and increases by 25 for every level you gain. After reaching level 10, the XP increase becomes higher, at 50 points per level gained.

Levelling up adds:
	* 3-5 to your maximum HP
	* 2-4 to your attack points
	* 2-4 to your defence points

To make the gameplay more balanced, you get assigned 6 skill points with each level; 2-4 get assigned to attack, and the remainder goes into defence. Health upgrade is still purely RNG-based and gives you 3-5 health points with each level.

ABOUT THE STATS:

There are two stats right now: attack and defence points. The former obviously affects the damage you can deal, and the latter affects the damage taken by your character.
The way defence points work is quite simple: every 4 defence points reduce the damage taken by your character by 1. If an enemy deals 8 damage and you have 16 defence points, you'll take only 4 damage. Any number not divisible by 4 doesn't really do anything - if you have 17, 18, or 19 defence points, you'll still take 4 damage. If you have 20 defence points, you'll take only 3 damage.
Attack is more complex, because its effects depend on weapon. The Sword gains 1 bonus damage per tick with every 4 points - effectively dealing 5 more damage for every 4 attack points.
You can view your current damage by opening the inventory and looking at the weapon panel.
